The European Society of Radiation Oncology (ESTRO)

ESTRO is, like BeSTRO a non-profit scientific organisation for radiation oncology, but on the European level. They aim to develop and promote standards of education and practice in radiation oncology and to stimulate the exchange of scientific knowledge in radiation oncology and its related fields (medical physics, radiation technology and radiobiology).

ESTRO holds an annual congress for all different partners and disciplines in radiation oncology.

Besides this annual meeting, ESTRO offers multiple different courses, workshops, delineation sessions, … on a variety of topics for the different subspecialties among the professionals involved in radiation oncology.

The European Organisation for Research and Treatment of Cancer (EORTC)

The EORTC is an organisation located in Belgium which is specialised in the coordination of international cancer research. They organise different working groups by disease entity, but also host transversal groups, like the Radiation Oncology Science Council.

The American Society for Radiation Oncology (ASTRO)

ASTRO is the North-American counterpart to ESTRO, with similar objectives as the European organisation. The organisation aims to improve patient care through professional education and training, support for clinical practice and health policy standards and the advancement of science and research. Just as ESTRO, they hold an annual meeting open to attendees from around the world.
